Spiders of Minnesota

Guest speaker:  Chad Heins

Spiders are found nearly everywhere in the world and for many they are source of fear and derision.  Yet these small predators play important roles in ecosystems, exhibit interesting behaviors, and sometimes reveal unexpected beauty.  This seminar will highlight the natural history of our eight-legged friends from basic biology to breeding behavior and also discuss the efforts being made to map spider distribution in Minnesota.  But beware! You might get tangled in a web of intrigue, mystery, and discovery!
